Program Description

Drive to Gyumri – the second largest city and visit Dashtadem fortress. Until recently, the fortress had been home to local shepherds and their families. Visit the Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life where you can find yourself in the house of this family dating back to the 19th century with the elements of the daily urban life and the local cultural and architectural characteristics of the city. Next, visit Gyumri city and enjoy a walking tour through the old part and Rustaveli avenue admiring ancient houses dating to the 18th and 19th century and visiting workshops. Walk through Vardanants square where the Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God is located. The tour will end with a visit at Sev Berd – abandoned russian black fortress in Gyumri.
