Program Description

Pick-up from your hotel and departure towards Imereti, known as the Pearl of Georgia. The first stop is the Gelati Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, founded in the 12th century by King David IV, where we will visit the historic academy that served as an education center during the Middle Ages and culture. After visiting the Gelati Monastery, walk around Kutaisi, one of the oldest cities in the world. In the city center there is free time for walking around local shops, markets and cafes. Then, outside the city, visit the Prometheus Cave, famous for its wonderful stalactites, stalagmites and underground rivers. At the end of the day, lunch consisting of traditional Georgian cuisine and local alcoholic drinks. After lunch, return to the hotel.
