Exploring Rhodes by day allows you to discover the island’s key landmarks in full light – with architectural details clearly visible and a rich history unfolding at every step.

You will begin at Mandraki Harbour, where you will see impressive monumental buildings constructed during the Italian period. This area has long played an important commercial and strategic role, and according to legend, it was here that the Colossus of Rhodes – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – once stood.

Next, you will head towards Monte Smith hill, offering wide panoramic views over the city and coastline. In this part of Rhodes, you will explore the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, once one of the island’s most important religious sites. You will also see the ancient stadium and odeon, reminders of the city’s cultural and public life in antiquity.

The tour continues to the Old Town of Rhodes, recognised as the largest inhabited medieval town in Europe. Walking along cobbled streets beside imposing defensive walls, you will step back into the era of knights and fortified cities.

Along the way, you will pass the impressive Palace of the Grand Master, one of the best-preserved examples of Gothic architecture in Greece. This monumental, castle-like structure served for centuries as both a fortress and the headquarters of the Knights Hospitaller.
