Program Description

Get ready for a full-day experience that combines ancient Roman history, remarkable archaeological sites, and the raw power of nature. This tour is a perfect choice if you want to discover the highlights of the Campania region and create unforgettable memories in just one day.

Your journey begins in Pompeii - a city frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. With priority entrance and a local guide, you will step back into everyday life from nearly two thousand years ago. Passing through one of the original city gates, you will head toward the Forum - the political, religious, and commercial heart of Pompeii, surrounded by temples, public buildings, and the impressive basilica. Walking along Via dell’Abbondanza, the city’s main street, you can still see deep chariot tracks carved into stone and imagine the rhythm of daily life in this once-thriving Roman metropolis.

You will explore the Theatre District, where performances once entertained ancient audiences, and visit a remarkably preserved bath complex that reveals how vital relaxation and social life were to the Romans. One of the most intriguing stops is the Lupanar, an ancient brothel, decorated with expressive frescoes. Your guide will also take you to a thermopolium - an ancient street food bar - and a Roman bakery, where millstones and ovens show how meals were prepared for citizens on the go.

A true highlight of the tour is the House of the Faun, one of the grandest Roman residences in Pompeii, renowned for its stunning mosaics, including the famous depiction of Alexander the Great in battle. You will also visit the ancient marketplace and see the moving plaster casts of Pompeii’s victims - silent witnesses to the dramatic events that unfolded here centuries ago.

After a break, the adventure continues with a drive toward Mount Vesuvius. The bus will take you high up the volcano’s slopes. Hiking to the Vesuvius crater is optional and can be done at your pace. The trail is approximately 1 mile (1.5 kilometres) long and leads through a stark landscape with breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples, the city, and the surrounding coastline.

Excursion of Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius blends knowledge, emotion, and spectacular scenery - an ideal experience for history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking for something truly memorable.

The order of sightseeing and the program may be subject to change.
