Program Description

Get ready for an unforgettable full-day journey that combines ancient Italian history with the unique seaside atmosphere of southern Italy. This experience is perfect if you want to discover two completely different faces of the region in one day - a city frozen in time and a vibrant coastal resort.

You will depart early in the morning from Naples, allowing you to explore Pompeii in a calmer, more comfortable atmosphere, before the most enormous crowds arrive. With a guide, history comes alive - you will pass through an ancient city gate and walk along streets once filled with everyday Roman life nearly 2,000 years ago. You will discover the Forum - the political and commercial heart of the city, stroll along the main thoroughfare marked by original chariot tracks, and visit the Theater District, where performances and concerts once entertained the citizens. You will explore remarkably well-preserved bath complexes, learn about the daily rituals of the ancient Romans, and see ancient street food bars. One of the most moving moments will be seeing the plaster casts of the eruption’s victims, a powerful reminder of the tragic events of 79 AD.

After this immersive encounter with history, you will head toward a charming town - Sorrento. During a guided walk, you will explore the heart of the city - a lively central square, a dramatic green gorge, and a historic cathedral with an impressive interior. You will stroll through a peaceful monastery cloister, admired for its elegant architecture, and stop at a panoramic terrace offering breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples, perfect for unforgettable photos. Along the way, you will also discover the tradition of local wood inlay craftsmanship, a skill passed down through generations.

To end the day, you will enjoy free time to spend as you wish - have lunch in a local restaurant, wander through narrow streets, shop for handmade souvenirs, or simply relax with a coffee while soaking up the Mediterranean atmosphere. It is a perfect conclusion to a day filled with contrasts, emotions, and remarkable scenery.
