This excursion will give you the chance to see the real Algarve, the beautiful landscapes, the remote villages, and observe the local people and their customs. We will stop in Loulé and walk through the historic old town where you will have the opportunity to see the old traditional Algarvian art of basket weaving using palm leaves, “empreita”. You can also visit the market for fresh and traditional products, and enjoy the peaceful Algarvian countryside. We continue along the mountain range and visit the typical villages of Querença, Salir (archaeological museum) and Barranco do Velho (distillery). This will be followed by a visit to the beautiful village of Alte, considered the most picturesque village in the Algarve. Time to enjoy a lovely meal (not included) and to experience a place full of charm and tradition. Don't forget your camera! Chosen guided language available subject to minimal number of participants.
