Cordoba was founded by the Roman “ Claudius Marcelus” in the year 152 B.C. This city reached its artistic and cultural splendour during the Arab occupation (711 until 1236 when it was recovered by the Christians), and it is unique in the world for its Arab and Jewish roots. During the X century the city was declared capital of “Al Andalus”, (Andalusia), reaching the status of Caliphate in the year 929, with King Abderraman III. The Cathedral and The Mosque have been declared recently “ Patrimony of Mankind” by the UNESCO. After arrival to Cordoba a visit to “The Mosque Cathedral”, Jewish Quarter, The Roman Bridge and typical gardens of Cordoba. Afterwards some free time for lunch and return to Costa del Sol.
