Day 1
Transfer from hotels on the Costa del Sol to the port of Algeciras. Ferry ride to Ceuta (about 1 h). On site, start a panoramic tour by bus or minibus. During the ride you will be able to admire the royal walls, the moat of San Felipe, Plaza de África and the historic center of Ceuta city. Then reaching the San Antonio lookout point on Monte Hacho, where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Strait of Gibraltar. Then border formalities with Morocco and transfer to Tetuan, capital of the Spanish “protectorate” until 1956 and the most Andalusian city in Morocco, also known as “La Paloma Blanca.” Among other places of interest, there will be the opportunity to visit: Plaza Hassan II, where the Royal Palace is located, the Jewish quarter otherwise known as “Mellah,” the Berber souk and the Medina, the old town with its maze of streets. The program also includes a visit to a traditional Berber pharmacy, offering natural products with centuries of tradition, such as argan oil and rosehips. In the afternoon, lunch at a Moroccan restaurant accompanied by traditional live music. After lunch, a visit to a local cooperative. On site an opportunity to buy handicrafts. Transfer to the hotel in Tetuan. Accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Breakfast. Departure. Drive to the blue city of Chefchaouen, located in a valley in the Rif mountain range. Its name, which means “horns” in the Rif dialect, refers to the two mountain peaks visible from the town, founded in 1471 by Muslims and Jews expelled from Al-Andalus, who gave it an Andalusian character with narrow, irregular streets and houses painted blue - a tradition that continues today. Then a guided walk through the medina, lunch and in turn free time to explore the city on your own and shop. Return to the coach and transfer back to Ceuta. Return cruise to the port of Algeciras and transfer to hotels.
