Program Description

On this excursion, you’ll discover three completely different, yet equally fascinating, places that together reflect the rich and diverse history of Tunisia.

Travelling in a comfortable coach, you’ll first arrive in the capital, Tunis. A walk through the city’s oldest quarter feels like a true journey back in time. With your guide, you’ll explore narrow alleys lined with decorated doors, bustling local shops, and colourful market stalls.

Next, you’ll head to Carthage – once the powerful centre of the Phoenician Empire, today an elegant district of Tunis with seaside villas and sweeping views. Here you’ll visit the remains of the Antonine Baths, built by the Romans around 145 AD. At the time, this was one of the largest bath complexes in Africa, capable of accommodating up to 2,000 people at once. You’ll also see the amphitheatre and Punic Necropolis – lasting traces of this region’s layered history.

After a break for lunch, the final stop is Sidi Bou Said. Perched on a hilltop, this charming town enchants at first sight. Whitewashed houses with blue shutters, cobbled lanes, and stunning views of the bay make it look like a living postcard. Your guide will share stories about this “artists’ town” as you wander through its hidden corners.

You’ll also have some free time to relax in a café, taste local specialities, and soak up the unique atmosphere of this picturesque gem of Tunisia.

Please note that the order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
