Program Description
Transfer from hotels. The tour begins with arrival at the picturesque fishing village of Elounda. Continue with a cruise to the island of Spinalonga, located in the Aegean Sea. On the way to Kolokytha beach, a BBQ lunch break and time to swim in the blue waters. Upon returning to the mainland, enjoy a walking tour of the charming and romantic Agios Nikolaos. The town today is an international cosmopolitan resort, located on three hills with an charming character and small winding streets. The next stop of the tour is Lake Vulismeni - the city's most precious treasure, with thousands of legends that make it even more attractive. The last point of the tour is a visit to the Vassilakis olive oil factory. This is a unique opportunity to see a demonstration of oil production. Time to by local specialties, then transfer to hotels.

Trip review. The trip was very well organized, the guide Konstantina was very pleasant, helpful and guided us through everything with interesting explanations. The visit to the island of Spinalonga was informative, the boat trip was amazing. Swimming was in beautiful water, but on a crowded beach, or directly from the boat, lunch on the boat was mostly eaten from a tray on the lap. We had about an hour to explore the town of Agios Nikolaos, which was very little. The stop at the oil press did not take much time and we bought olive gifts to take home. As for the trip, there were only four of us from Matala, so they sent a car to take us to Heraklion and back in the evening. We then traveled by shared bus. Due to the early departure at six o`clock, we did not have breakfast. The trip from Matala to Agios Nikolaos took about 3 hours.
We really enjoyed the trip, our guide Martina from ČEDOK was absolutely great, she had an overview and told us a lot of interesting things. We highly recommend it to everyone! 🙂
