Program Description

Step into the history of Sintra National Palace, located in the heart of the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. For centuries, this royal residence welcomed Portuguese monarchs and today offers a fascinating insight into the country's rich past.

As you explore the palace, you will discover the rooms once used by Portugal's kings and queens and learn how royal life looked during the Middle Ages. One of the highlights is the impressive Coats of Arms Room, decorated with the heraldic symbols of Portugal's noble families.

The visit also includes one of the world's most important collections of Mudéjar azulejos. These colourful glazed ceramic tiles reflect the influence of Islamic craftsmanship on Portuguese architecture and are among the palace's greatest treasures.

A visit to Sintra National Palace is a chance to experience Portuguese history, architecture and royal tradition in one of the country's best-preserved historic landmarks.
