Day trip to Turda Salt Mine

Discover the natural beauty and fascinating underground attractions of Transylvania on this full-day excursion to the Turda Gorge Nature Reserve and the famous Turda Salt Mine. This tour perfectly combines spectacular landscapes with the history of one of Romania's most remarkable landmarks.

The tour begins at the meeting point, followed by a transfer to the area surrounding the town of Turda, a place that played an important role in the history of Transylvania. Your first stop is an approximately one-hour walk through the Turda Gorge Nature Reserve, where you'll admire dramatic limestone cliffs, diverse vegetation and breathtaking scenery in one of the region's most beautiful natural areas.

The journey then continues to the town of Turda, where you'll visit the impressive Turda Salt Mine. Transformed in 2007 into a museum and cultural venue, the former salt mine is renowned for its vast underground chambers, unique atmosphere and extraordinary architecture carved deep into the salt deposits.

After the visit, you'll return to the meeting point in Cluj-Napoca.
