Program Description
Discover one of Alicante's most iconic landmarks and learn about a tradition that has shaped Spanish culture for centuries. Located close to Santa Bárbara Castle, the Alicante Bullring is one of the largest arenas in Spain and an impressive example of Neo-Mudéjar architecture.
During your visit, you will explore the historic bullring and its museum, gaining insight into the history and customs of Spanish bullfighting. The tour begins at the Main Gate of Triumph, through which successful matadors traditionally entered after their greatest victories.
You will also visit the Chapel, where bullfighters traditionally gathered for a moment of reflection before entering the arena. The route continues through the grandstands, offering a different perspective of the arena, as well as the Infirmary and the Bull Pens, where the bulls were kept before the performances.
Throughout the visit, you will discover the history of the bullring, completed in 1888, and learn about its role in the cultural heritage of Alicante. With a capacity of more than 15,000 spectators, it remains one of the largest and most significant bullrings in Spain.
The order of the visit and the programme may be subject to change.
