Program Description
Discover three World Heritage cities on a day trip from Madrid to Toledo, Segovia and Ávila. Pick-up from the meeting point in Madrid and transfer to the historic center of Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through Plaza Mayor, where you will see monuments such as the aqueduct and the cathedral. A visit to the Royal Alcazar, a defensive fortress whose origins date back to Arab times. Then we will go to Ávila, the birthplace of Saint Teresa de Jesús. We will visit the historical center and discover the heritage of this city, also declared a World Heritage by UNESCO. The route will follow a section of the famous 11th-century walls of Ávila. Then a visit to the Roman necropolis and free time for lunch in Ávila. After a break, transfer to Toledo, the third city inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Toledo has a long Christian, Judaic and Muslim tradition, which is why it is also known as the city of 3 cultures. Here you will discover the secrets of the Cathedral of Our Lady, the second largest cathedral in Spain, and the most beautiful corners of the city. Return to Madrid in the evening.
