Program Description
Nestled in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, Valldemossa enchants visitors with its stone houses, narrow streets and peaceful atmosphere. During this half-day tour, you will discover one of Mallorca's most picturesque villages, admire spectacular coastal views and explore a place closely linked to the stay of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand.
One of the highlights of the tour is Valldemossa - a charming medieval village located in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During a guided walk, you will learn about the history of this unique place and discover why Frédéric Chopin and the French writer George Sand chose to spend the winter of 1838 here. It was in Valldemossa that the composer created some of his most famous works.
During your free time, you can choose to visit the Carthusian Monastery, where an exhibition dedicated to the famous couple is on display. Among the exhibits is the piano on which Chopin composed his renowned Raindrop Prelude. You will also have time to wander through the charming streets of Valldemossa, relax in one of its cafés or sample traditional Mallorcan liqueurs, prepared according to local recipes.
The tour also includes a stop at the Sa Foradada viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of Mallorca's western coastline. The distinctive rocky peninsula with its natural hole is one of the island's most iconic landmarks and a favourite spot for lovers of Mediterranean scenery.
The order of the itinerary and the tour programme may be subject to change.
