After hotel pick-up, travel to Yatagala Raja Maha Viharaya, a temple dating back to the 3rd century BC. Beautifully set among giant granite boulders, this historic sanctuary is home to an impressive 9-metre Buddha statue and ancient wall paintings depicting Buddhist themes and the temple's long history.
