Program Description

Vast tropical forests, green hills and a lake surrounded by unspoilt nature - Kaeng Krachan National Park is a wonderful destination for nature lovers. During this trip, you'll explore one of Thailand's most valuable natural areas, walk through a tropical forest and enjoy a boat trip across a picturesque lake.

You'll set off early in the morning towards Kaeng Krachan National Park, Thailand's largest national park, covering approximately 2,915 km². This vast protected area stretches along the border with Myanmar (Burma), encompassing hills and valleys covered in dense vegetation. The journey itself offers plenty of interesting scenery - along the way, you'll pass pineapple, mango and papaya plantations, as well as expansive rice fields, all characteristic features of the Thai countryside.

Your first stop will be Kaeng Krachan Lake, created following the construction of a dam on the Phetchaburi River. The reservoir covers approximately 46.5 km², with its calm waters surrounded by green hills. It's a lovely place to admire the scenery and take some memorable photographs.

Next, you'll enjoy a walk through the tropical forests of Kaeng Krachan National Park. Surrounded by lush vegetation, you'll discover the area's rich biodiversity and admire the jungle-covered hills. The park is home to many animal species, including Asian elephants, monkeys and exotic birds. With a little luck, you may spot some of these forest inhabitants in their natural habitat.

After lunch at a local restaurant, it's time for another highlight - a boat trip across Kaeng Krachan Lake. As you cruise across the peaceful waters, you'll admire the surrounding green hills and tropical vegetation. It's a wonderful opportunity to unwind after your walk and enjoy the tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
