Program Description

Your journey begins at the former Customs Department, where you will learn about French colonial rule and the opium trade that influenced the city's development. Along the way, enjoy a taste of bánh mì, one of Vietnam's most iconic street foods.

Continue to the site of a former guillotine execution ground and discover stories from the Vietnam War, including a visit to a former CIA safe house. You will also explore the Weapons Cellar, a secret underground cache used during the Tet Offensive.

The tour continues with a stop at a traditional apartment block, where you can sample fresh sugarcane juice and local snacks. You will also visit Cha Tam Church, a site closely connected with the events leading to the fall of President Ngo Dinh Diem.
